Top 50 lists & “Update”

Posted on: July 3, 2011

I haven’t been posting much because I was travelling and now I’m on vacation.. I came to see my sister and my nephews. I’ll be gone for the summer. I’ll try to post as often as possible but I like to spend as much time as possible with them because they’ll only be this small once, they grow up SO fast (I remember when the oldest was only a little baby.. now he’s nearly 5!) and I don’t get to spend 2 months of the year with them. Their names are Brody (4.5) & Breton (13 mos) .. They are so sweet 🙂

I am going to post top 50 lists, but I can’t say they’re in the exact order. I should try to narrow the lists down but… I like them all 🙂

Nice list! My favorites girl names are Adele, Sophia, Violet, and Emilia(my name). My favorite boy names are Oliver, Elliot, And Mason which is my favorite name ever!! 😀

Really? That’s awesome! When my SO and I have children, we’re naming the first either Adele or Elliot. Adele is basically the only name my SO and I can agree on for girls! ;-P

I googled my name to see what people thought of it and saw a question you asked on yahoo answers. You asked if people prefer Elliot Jack or Jack Elliot, with a 2 syllable last name beginning with M. Well I could hardly believe someone asked this specific of a question that happened to match not only my first and middle name (Elliot Jack) but also my last name (which is two syllables beginning with M!) Just out of curiosity why did you ask this question? And if you were wondering, I haven’t always been in love with my name and have often wished Jack was first and Elliot second. But as I get older, I’m beginning to appreciate Elliot more and more. I joke with people that I have the best doctors name ever. Wouldn’t you trust someone named Dr. Elliot Jack M—–? It just sounds great.

Wow, that is one coincidence! Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you sooner. I asked the question because we are considering that name should we have a son. I definitely think it makes a great doctor’s name and I’m so happy to hear from somebody with the name! I think children often dislike their name but learn to like it later in life, the same as been proven for me. Thanks for the comment!
